My fee of R3500 includes:

An initial interview to see if we are a good fit for each other

One prenatal homevist

Being on call

Labour support at home and/or hospital

Birth support (during and after) at hospital, either in delivery room or in theater in case of emergency or elective cesarean

Two postnatal visits

50% of the fee is payable when booking your date, with the balance due at 36 weeks.

Should you would like to make use of my services, but are unable to afford my fee, please send me a message that we can talk about options.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the structuring will be as follow:

50% of my fee will cover the initial meeting (via Zoom) and the prenatal - and post-partum home visits. Home visits can be done over Zoom as well. I am still on call throughout your pregnancy.

50% of the fee is for the birth, including virtual support for the birth via Zoom in the hospital. Should you choose that I only attend to you before you leave for hospital, then only 25% is due.

Update: Many private hospitals are allowing doulas back in, please contact your hospital to hear if they do.

Please check with your medical aid if they cover the services of a doula. At the moment I am, as a WOMBS doula, covered by Momentum, Fedhealth and Discovery Medical Aids (certain medical aids have certain requisites).
